Each system is different, but for a general idea: Residential: 2 Times per Year Commercial: 4 Times per Year *This is a general assessment. Other unknown factors may change the servicing amount.
A properly functioning Air Conditioning System does not require more refrigerant. If your system requires refrigerant, there is a leak. We will need to assess where the leak is so we can fix the problem.
Unless your system is designed for high-efficiency filters, use disposable filters and change them often. Using high efficiency filters in a system not designed for it causes your system to run longer and work harder than it needs to.
It is our recommendation to set your Air Conditioner 6 degrees higher when you are away. It is better on the system to cycle on and off during the day than to run the system for a long period of time to cool down the hot house or building.
Depending on the equipment size and efficiency, a typical Air Conditioner costs between $4,000 – $6,000.
The size of an Air Conditioner system depends on the size of the building it needs to cool. Typically, you need 1 ton for every 500 sq/ft.
It is our recommendation that if your Air Conditioner unit is leaking, you have Harrington Air Conditioning fix the leak instead of filling up your unit with refrigerant. If the leak is not fixed, you will continuously have to refill the unit, costing your more money in the long run.

While our selection of air conditioners may look similar, be sure to check the SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratings). The higher the SEER number, the more efficient the system is. A 13 SEER rated air conditioner uses 23% less energy than a 10 SEER unit. 14 SEER is the minimum efficiency standard by law as of 2006.
R-410A refrigerant is the new environmentally friendly refrigerant. This environmentally sound material replaces the use of R-22 and will not deplete the ozone layer. R-410A is the chlorine-free replacement refrigerant for R-22. This refrigerant has a proven record of outstanding reliability and has been approved by the U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY for use in the United States. European and Japanese markets are also introducing products using this high-performance, chlorine-free refrigerant.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, tasteless, and highly toxic gas. CO is produced from devices such as heating systems which fail to function correctly, or are not properly ventilated. Because it is odorless, carbon monoxide is an insidious poison. It produces only mild symptoms of headache, nausea, or fatigue, followed by unconsciousness. An automobile engine running in a closed garage can make the air noxious within a few minutes; a leaking furnace flue may fill a house with unsuspected poison. Fuel gas, which may contain as much as 50% carbon monoxide, often has small quantities of unpleasant smelling sulfur compounds purposely added to make leaks noticeable. Each year, carbon monoxide kills over 200 people in America and sends about 5,000 more to emergency rooms for care, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The CPSC suggests that carbon monoxide detectors are outstanding ways of alerting the presence of toxic gas. CO detectors protect lives by sampling the air and measuring the amount of CO present over a time period. If a dangerous level of CO is detected, the detector will enter into alarm.
